Welcome aboard! As Moto says, a few pics would help out here. If you are looking for parts/decals etc have a look at the STICKYS located at the top of the MARKETPLACE page.

That will be a fun project! I was expecting worse. There is a lot of info on here to begin with. I would suggest searching certain topics at a time. Like the Corsa exhaust, it comes up often and Im pretty sure there is someone on here that has added it.
Another cool thing on here- go through the "gallery" and look at the other 222's. It might help you notice things you could be missing.

What do you know about the boat? Hours, fresh water? Taken care of?

One of the first things I would do is fuel, oil, motor. Ethanol fuel sucks. It attracts water into your fuel. A fresh water separating fuel filter is a good start.

Something to consider before diving into making it look sharp would be that outdrive. Pull the prop off and have a look at the prop shaft, seals, etc. Make sure it shifts nicely and the prop shaft does not wobble all over while it is spinning. Fresh oil is a good idea. See if you notice water(milky) or shavings in the old oil. Same with motor oil. If you dont know the history of the boat that is just a start. It would suck to make it look ready for the water but you cant take it out due to mechanical stuff.

Before you do anything to that dash and gauge cluster realize it cant be replaced. The plastic is brittle and it will snap. Next to super glue you will be up a creek!

Magic Eraser works well for cleaning upholstery if soap & water wont cut the grime. I even like powder laundry detergent.
Muriatic acid will clean the white scum off the outdrive. Just be careful where you use it- the acid will etch concrete. Just brush it on and hose it off. It dilutes easily.

As for painting a patch, I have not heard of that. It has a gel coat. A good fiberglass guy should be able to match your current color fairly well. (Its like a fiberglass shower/bathtub, they get a nick down to the fiber but it is fixable).

Thanks I have had the engine torn down I ported the heads bigger cam 4bbl carb 1,6 roller rocker so on. The engine is a jasper engine replaced in 04, not impressed buy there work. Hours unkown no meter its gone. It was a turd in the water only about 38 mph at wot. The gel coat is horrible the whole boat would have to be redone. It had big holes and deep scraps down the sides. I just don't have the funds for that. I heard there a marine paint I can use to paint. We have emailed a guy on here about decals but no response from here. I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought this boat. I didn't know Mariah was no longer or I would not have bought it. bad mistake I guess. Well I hope not. Corsa is to pricy for me to. Its missing the head rest on the bench seat, hand rail in back, hour meter. and all Decals.

Some other avenues to painting might be a decal wrap. Lots of wake boats doing that. Another idea just working with what you have. Basic buffing stuff here.
These boats are built well. I'm sure yours will clean up nice

Re: 2000 222

Just because the original Mariah company no longer exists isn't a reason to avoid buying one of their boats. The boats are generally solid and very well made. Most parts are still available with only the glass and interior trim pieces being hard to find but you just have to look around a bit. It wouldn't be any different if you bought a Sea-Ray or Four Winns in that condition cuz neither manufacturer would have original parts still available for a 13-14 yr old boat. Actually you might be one of the lucky ones regarding the glass as Taylormade (original mfr) may still have the molds available for your model year in the event you ever have to replace a section.

As for the decals guy you emailed, Mike Eftink (Eftinkboats on eBay) can be difficult to reach at times. I find him easier to reach via Facebook or directly via eBay. He is your only good source though for original graphics/decals/badges etc.

As i mentioned earlier and Moto reminded you about, our Marketplace is your friend....
