Mariah SX22 Ltd 4.3L Mercruiser

Hi folks,
As a newbie I would like to kindly ask for some help.
I've just bought a Mariah SX22 Ltd with a 4.3L Mercruiser engine and just couldn't find proper specification on the net about this particular boat. It is on it's way to my place from Meppel, Holland.
Could anyone of you, please, send me a brochure attached or just inform me about the correct specifications?
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to MOC !
Well , the last year they had the SX22 in the lineup was 2005 P1.
2007 Mariah had the SX18 , SX19 , SX20 , SX21 , and the SX25.
Can you check the last 2 digits on the hull number(HIN) for us? That will give you the year of your new Mariah:wink_thumbup:
Congrats on your new Mariah , and once again ... Welcome!

Welcome aboard to another member from the 'low countries'. Once we get our Member Map back up & running we'll ask you to pin your location so that other Dutch / Belgian members will know where you are. Also, if you are looking for CE Documentation we are unable to provide it but we do have a couple of links to help you out here.

Re: Mariah SX22 Ltd 4.3L Mercruiser

How fast you are with your reply! :-)
Actually I bought the Mariah in Meppel, Holland, and I will use it on the river Tisza in Hungary.
The last two digits on the hull number are '07'.
At the windshield on both side of the boat there is the 'SX22' indicated.
Otherwise, I have already seen a boat alike as advertised 'sx20/22'. Now that's what I call equivocal!
Inspecting my boat dry it seemed far longer than a sx18, but I am not sure ever since if it is 20 or 22 in length. Is it possible that the boat is only 20ft long? No problem at all but it would be so good to know the exact lenght and weight. :-)
Cheers,
Peter

Re: Mariah SX22 Ltd 4.3L Mercruiser

Well then welcome to our first Hungarian member! :)

Specs are as follows as per the brochures:

2007 SX 20
weight - 1453 kgs dry
length - 6.1 meters
beam - 2.5 meters
fuel capacity - 144 liters
total capacity - 721 kgs
persons capacity - 10

2007 SX 21
weight - 1498 kgs dry
length - 6.1 meters
beam - 2.6 meters
fuel capacity - 167 liters
total capacity - 794 kgs
persons capacity - 10

By looking at the brochure there appears to be an obvious visual difference between the two models in that the SX21 has an extended 'hump' sitting in the middle of the swim platform. The SX20 doesn't appear to have this 'hump'.

Re: Mariah SX22 Ltd 4.3L Mercruiser

Thanks Mikey,
This was quite an important informtaion!
Mainly because of the fact that there is not inevitably a difference in length between the two models despite the marks sx '20' and '21'.
And if so, my sx22 is not obviously a 22ft long boat, it might rather be just 20ft in length and that is the reason why I saw an other boat alike advertised as 'sx20/22'!
The reason of my agony was that a 4.3L engine fits better for a 20ft long (therefore lighter) boat than a 22ft!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind help,
Peter

Re: Mariah SX22 Ltd 4.3L Mercruiser

Mikey,
I have something else to ask since you're said to be the utmost professional in the issue. :-)
My sx22 has the original prop with 3 wings. Could you suggest me anything else to get the best performance out of the boat?
Anyway, just to see it clearly, what are the specifications of my original peopeller? Just in case, here's the hull number: US-VMHAC203B707
Best,
Peter

Re: Mariah SX22 Ltd 4.3L Mercruiser

hi Peter

I would suggest that you try the boat first with the prop that's on it and see how you feel about the performance. We will need to know the pitch & diameter of the existing prop before we consider any changes. Have a look thru our "Prop Talk" section. There are a couple of STICKYS at the top of the page that provide the basics about how to choose a prop.
