what to look for.....

I am going to look at a 1997 Mariah z210 Shabah tomorrow and I was wondering what to look for.I.E. usual things that go bad etc......Also are parts readily available for these boats since the manufacturer is out of business. Thanks any and all help is deeply appreciated.

First off, welcome aboard. Second, have a read thru this STICKY designed to help people when buying a used Mariah. It covers all of the basics and advises on what items to watch for.

Re: what to look for.....

Welcome to MOC mariah59! :)
Mikeys' sticky covers the buying process pretty well.
As for available parts.......... engine/drive parts are readily available while hull/interior parts are like finding a needle in a haystack.
That being said , there aren't a lot , if any boats out there that are 16+ yrs old that do have hull/interior parts easily accessible.
I would suggest checking over the bucket seat "hard parts" and the dash/instrument panels closely.
Glove box doors seem to come up often also.
Go over it with a fine tooth comb , test drive if possible , and make a offer based on your findings. :)
If it seems to be "clean" and well maintained that is a good sign of the way the boat was treated , usually.
Check it out and shoot us some pics!:wink_thumbup:

Not being nosey , but what are they asking for it?

Re: what to look for.....

thanks guys.....Colorado this will be an even swap for my RV. I looked it up on NADA and the value is equal to what I was looking to get for my RV. Of course this will all depend on the condition of the boat.
