New proud Mariah owner

 I just purchased a 1995 Z 202 with a 7.4 with Bravo III . however the owner before me seemed to like to tinker without knowing what he was doing. My seat height adjustment switch is not working along with cowl lift switch and the bilge switch also. I have had the boat out half a dozen times now and love the way it runs i just would like a little help if possible repairing the small things inside. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated .

Welcome aboard! "Tinkering" is a good thing and to be honest that's how many of us learn how things work. Generally when electrical things stop working on a boat its either due to a bad ground/broken or bad wire connection, failed fuse or a failed part. If u use a 12v test light then you can tell if there is power going to each of the items and if so, that will rule out the fuse / bad ground issue. With the bilge pump they are known to fail or get blocked with debris so if there is power going to it then the unit has either failed or is blocked. Try taking it apart to clean it out or better still, if its an original unit it has served you faithfully for 18yrs and its time to replace.

The fuse panel is located up underneath the dash on the starboard side. You should be able to access it thru the headrest in the bow.

Backrest for most people, headrest for the Mariah midgets.:) Its awkward as all hell but it can be done. I found it easier to lay on my back underneath the console and reach up.
