Just a quick post to say hello as I've finally decided to register with the site having been an interested reader since buying a 2007 SX18 Mercruiser 4.3l in Sept 12.

We keep it at Loch Ken in 'sunny' Scotland and we use it mainly for skiing and throwing the kids around on inflatables.

To date my knowledge (and interest) of engines and boats has been remarkably limited for a grown man but that'll need to change as already there's been a few wee issues that I've needed to sort - and no doubt there'll be more in the future.

So keep up the good work and I'll keep watching and learning!!

Welcome aboard Stevie! Glad you decided to join us all. I also bought my first boat as a grown man and I have had several now and have learned so much about them since. I guess you have already found out that this site is very active with alot of good information already on it. Plus people are so willing to jump in and lend a hand when you do got a question. I was members on other boater sites before(Cobalt and Wellcraft) and they were no where near active as this site! So don't be afraid to ask questions at all. We were all newbies at one time and won't make fun of you...(well, at least not right away! Lol )
