Default Too shalow for a 240z?

Hello,

We are planning to wrap up purchasing a 1994 z 240 this week. We are on the shallow end of the lake with the dock depth around 36" and we are concerned about depth when not trimmed up. Does anyone know the acceptable depth we would need (with passengers) if we did not raise the stern while docking?

Thanks!

Rick

    Welcome to MOC Rick.
Draft for the Z240 with drive up is 14" and 31" for drive down.
Your going to be cutting it super close even before a fully loaded boat.
My opinion I'd still go for it. Just take her slow and easy (Idle Only) , and trim her up a little.

I would go ahead and get the boat. I have one and I love it. You will not be disappointed and you should be fine with the depth.

Thanks! I think it will be close however we could always add 10' to the dock. We plan to run through the engine and drive train Saturday inside the shop. It has 330 hours and the prior owner kept it covered all the time. Great interior. I think for $5,900 it is a good winiter deal to take and see how we do.

Sounds like a great deal Rick! If it's a matter of 10' worth it isn't a big deal for sure.
Snatch her up and enjoy her
You'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner! LOL
