New to 1997 Shabah 4.3

I am glad to be registered on this website. I just purchased a very nice used Mariah with a rebuilt engine that the cylinders were flooded with water. the bottom of the engine was not damage. I am researching this problem.. I teach Automotive Technology at a local secondary school. I am well versed in engine rebuilds, however just learning about boats and engines. I believe the exhaust manifolds are cracked, so I am going to purchase new ones.

Re: New to 1997 Shabah 4.3

:)Sorry to be so late in thanking everyone for their suggestions and help. Here is update on my progress. Rebuilt the engine, have taken the boat out a few times, lots of fun. I did install the missing flappers as suggested by ColoradoDiablo. Who ever upholstered the boat did not install the back seat properly. The engine cover lays over the top of the back seat which caused the seat to lean back against the electric fuel pump which put to much pressure on the pump causing it to fail. just purchased a new one. I believe I am missing 2 side covers for the engine behind the back seat. Any ideas on how to get the measurements so I can cut the covers out of plywood to help support the back seat properly.
