Welcome to the club supastipa, glad to have you as a member! We all have the same sentiment, except for those of us in Australia enjoying the sun

When you get a chance, feel free to upload images of your boat to the gallery. Just navigate to the "gallery" via the link above and click "upload." There you'll see a link to instructions explaining the process. Also, don't forget to put your pin on the member map.

Again, welcome to the club and we look forward to seeing those pictures!

    Default Powell

Lake Powell should be great this year with the amount of snow Utah and Colorado have had. Although I don't really understand why they let so much water out of the dam this year?

I am also looking forward to higher lake levels this year...we should see a pretty good rise this summer. As for the water release, I think it was only a 96 hour or so release ment to recreate high flow events that the river system used to see historically. These high flow events are important for building beaches and creating wildlife habitat...well worth a small drop in lake levels in my opinion.

I agree with supastipa, most of our lakes are man made so periodic water release is important in trying to maintain the ecosystem as much as possible considering the dam and all. Also, by lowering the level somewhat, it allows the new runoff to better mix with existing water helping to "stir" up the lake nutrients and stagnant water that have settled during the summer and winter months benefiting everything living in and around the lake.

BTW, a belated welcome to our community supastipa and I see you've already got your pin on the map, excellent!

When you’re ready to upload pictures of your Jubilee go ahead and give this a read, it'll help Click Here and if you need any assistance, drop me a line anytime.

    Again, welcome aboard,
    WetWilly
