Smile Saying Hello

Hello all, I purchased a '97 210 Shabah Z (I believe it's a Z due to the captains call exhaust and other tweaks, but I didn't get any documentation to support that) a couple of years ago. Previous owner was very unkind to this thing so it's going to take me some work to get things back up to par and hopefully with the help of this great site I can do so efficiently.

If anyone has an documentation it would be much appreciated, especially a wiring diagram, aside from the general manual that's listed.

    Welcome to MOC atomik!

What engine/drive package do you have? You can find the wiring schematics in the service manuals. They are located in the maintenence and repair section at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for the link. 5.7L Alpha. At least I hope so, who knows what all has been done to this. Previous owner thought it would be good to put an automotive starter on it. Things were fine until it chewed up the flywheel and I found out that pulling the engine isn't a fun time on these things since the fiberglass wraps around over have the engine bay. So, as of now the engine is out of the boat due to an oil leak and while it's out if the block is in good shape I believe I'm going to turn it into a 383 stroker.. Thoughts? Outdrive should be able to handle a few extra horses.

I had asked about the wiring diagram as things seem to starting to not work, first it was the horn now the captains call exhaust. So once I get the boat back I need to go over the system, I'm hoping it's something simple like the main ground is corroded. I don't see two actuators going bad at the same time so that's why I'm hoping it's something simple.

But I have been out of the country and away from it for a while so I'm starting to forget what all is on it. I do know I want to swap out the prop at some point as it was having issues getting out of the water quickly, but I'm not even sure what's on it now. Tri blade 19p maybe.

    I understand completely
Things get crazy fast that's for sure.
The Alpha Drive will handle 300 ponies no problem , But be careful going much more. That is the upper limit of the drive.

300 horse from a 350 is easy with a cam and piston upgrade. Not really necessary to change or spend the money on a new crank.
