Welcome Sydney10!
That combo isn't going to be cheap even for a builder. Keep an eye on the usual places: Craigslist , Ebay , and other boating forums , as well as here at MOC. Good luck with your search and don't hesitate to holler if you need help with your Mariah. :) Larry |

Welcome to the forum! :wink_thumbup:
What happened that you need to replace the entire combo? Whatever the case may be, it's not going to be able to be done on the cheap side. The Bravo 3 is one of Mercruiser's most expensive sterndrives, and about the cheapest you can get a replacement is around $5k. The 7.4L /502 long block is around $3-5k . One option you could look into is possibly subbing in a 383 Magnum in it's place. It's a bored and stroked out 6.2L, that can put out 350hp, which is 40 more HP than the standard 7.4L MPI. The 383 is more lightweight, takes up less space, and is more fuel efficient (supposedly). Some places to check out for remanufactured engines & drives: Michigan Motorz | Marine Engine Parts Sales & Service | Shipping World Wide Mercruiser Parts, Marine Engines Parts, Boat Parts, Marine Parts, Mercury Boat Accessories, Quicksilver, Volvo, Crusader, Motors , Exhaust - Performance Product Technologies Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, Marine Engines, Boat Engines, Boat Motors, Volvo Penta Parts MerCruiser Engines and Sterndrive by Mercury Remanufacturing Also, most boating magazines will have some helpful places in the classified sections. Good luck, and keep us updated!! |
