Re: New Mariah owner
Might aswell pop out some questions when i'm at it.
The sx22 has a mercruiser 5.0i (260hp) on a bravo drive with the standard prop. When everything is well on temperature and input the throttle down i'm not impressed by the acceleration. It ctually takes quite long before it goes in plane. Does not matter if i completely floor it... Rev's doe not go above 2500rpm. When it finally comes in plane it goes a litle faster but stops at about 70kmh's... At about 4.400 rpm. Trimmed up about 1/4th. Feels like something is holding in power. My maxum sc2100 cuddy was a '98 with a 2008 mercruiser 350 MAG mpi and that thing was in plane soooo easy... Matter of seconds. Topped out at 90 kmh. As the sx seems a litle lighter and has a very sharp and crisp hull i thought it would be way faster... Or at least the same. Not slower! Previous owner told me he had no idea what i might be doing wrong and that it did 90km without a problem... Any suggestions?!? Thanks!! |

What prop is on the boat?

Re: New Mariah owner
Great to have you on here. If you have any questions ask away. I work on cars and it sounds like you could have a restriction or low fuel pressure. A restricted exhaust will do the same thing.
