Default New Mariah owner

Hi all,
I purchased a 1993 Mariah Barchetta about 2 months ago with 204 hrs on it and I am in love with it! Let me first tell you the history of my boat.

I purchased this boat in July of this year from a 72 year old man who i found on craigslist. He lives on a houseboat, on a slip at Center Hill lake in TN . He had purchased the boat from a slip auction 5 weeks prior with 185 hours on the boat. He said the slip renter (original owner)had not shown up to use his boats since 2002.

The disclosed maintainence that was performed on the boat before my purchase drain the fuel and new separator, the boat started and ran! The post the guy had on cl said immaculate, I turned to a friend with the confused stutter a 1993 that is immaculate, only if it has been redone. The boat is all original and yes it is immaculate everything works.

I am a bit confused though of the 1993 Barchetta 181 I cant find very many and I have never seen one with my options. I have a windshield wiper, defog, dock lights, ash trays , interior lights, transom lights, engine lights, wth, is this common with the Mariah name?

I would just like to have some insight on what this boat would have costed new and how common or uncommon it is to have THIS boat with so many options.

Thank You,
I will post pics for all to see

Chad

Welcome aboard. It sounds like you have a Barchetta "Z" model which has many of those items as standard features. I'm not sure that we have the actual sales figures but it is an 'uncommon' model here on our site. You can get a little more background on your boat by sending your Hull ID# in a private message to our Admin (ShabahZ250).

Btw....the boat and the ornamentation look excellent!

Yes, very nice find! It looks terrific! But, the trailer looks way too big for the boat. I don't think it's safe to tow with the boat sitting so far back from the winch. Anybody else notice it not looking like the correct traier?

Yeah, I know trailer overkill.. I bought the boat with no trailer picked one up that was junk to get it home only to buy this one that is a tad big.

I am usually under 55 mph and no more then an hour from the house. I have modified the stop in front since picture was taken. If I get in an accident you will hit the trailer not the boat.

I have a 93 Shabah Z model. The same color as yours. Mine looks the same as yours. It was well maintained when I bought it as well. I have had mine since 2005. I can only hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine!

Thank you for the hospitality. I am not usually a forum cruiser (if you will) I am usually the one and done for needed assistance. I am really excited to be here and feel I may have finally found my niche.

Mariah 1 do you have anymore pictures you would like to share?

I can check it out its all good.. I messed up earlier and put mine under another persons category somehow..

boat looks great! The swim platform looks to be the only noticeable difference . Where do you find a cover without using the bimini? I have a huge tent like cover for mine sunroofs over the sundeck and bimini has to be up.

I am also assuming you have 4.3? What prop, speed, and rpm are you getting?
