Newbe from LI,NY here! Actually not a Mariah owner just yet but I have a 10am appointment to inspect one tomorrow. I am an avid boater and have owned or currently owned a Thompson, Rinker, Egg Harbor and a Starcraft. My research shows me that Meriah is a solid made bat with some rather amazing features. I am looking at a 1993 190 Talara with a 3.0 Merc. I am afraid the 3.0 would be underpowered on a 190 weighing 3000 plus wet. Any comments from informed owners about the speed and WOT or the boat in general would be much appreciated! Headed out in just 11 1/2 hours with cash in hand!!

Well I am officially a Mariah owner! 1993 Diablo 190 with a 3.0 Mercruiser and Alpha 1 outdrive. She definitely needs a bunch of TlC but she's a one owner marina maintained boat cared for in the Hamptons of LI, NY. All of the blue vinyl is cracked and needs replacing. The electric trim/tilt doesn't work. The motor works and you can hear it going up down but the drive doesn't move? I will be spending a bunch of time detailing the hull as the fiberglass is really dull and faded.
