Welcome to the board Ed!

As far as engine & outdrive, any Mercruiser or Volvo Penta dealer or service facility can repair any issues you'd have with the engine or outdrive.

Mariah made many of their own parts in-house, so locating original parts will prove to be a challenge, but we've put together a list of suppliers of parts that will help you out. It's in the Original Mariah Talk section, and it's called "Mariah Parts List".

If you need help with anything, by all means, ask questions! We're a friendly bunch that always help each other out. :D

Welcome Ed. Hopefully you will buy that Mariah because they are an excellent boat. Shabahz250 is right...sometimes finding Mariah specific parts can be a challenge but we've done a good job of sourcing supplies and vendors for everyone to make use of. If you have any questions or issues with your boat, by all means post them and we will do everything we can to help you out.

hi everyone
sorry for not being around . i have just returned from florida, i now am the proud owner of a 1998 z252 shabah, its awsome. i need to have some upholstery work to the rear seat and sun pad otherwise the boat is vertualy new looking. i am not to sure about the steering as it seems a bit heavy for power assisted. can anyone advise? it has a 7.4L mercruiser with a bravo 3 outdrive that looks virtualy new. and everthing works

all the best.

Hi Ed, congratulations on your new purchase, Younggun37 has that exact same boat - check it out in the Gallery, so he might be able to help you out with any performance, fuel economy etc statistics.
I will send him an email if I can for him to contact you.

Hi, ED My Z252 I have just got so I can not tell you a lot about it yet except I love it. I got to take it out one day last week to check it out. Right now it will GPS only 53 with a fuel tank of fuel. But I am working on that right now. I talked to Keith Eckert in Florida about up gradeing it. They told me to put a set of Gil Headerss on it and let them flash my ECM . and that would give me a weight savings of 75 lb and increase HP. between 60 and 70. So that is my plans with it right now..My 202 shabah would GPS 61 it was a awsome litttle boat with a ballistic prop.I had 3 diffferent props for it and the ballistic ran the best and was the fastest. When I get some more info on my 252 I will let you know. I would say I know a great place to have your interior done but they are in TN. Ricks Custom Upholstery in columbia TN . They do a great job and can match the Mariah tan interior perfect. It has the same print and everything.
