97 Mariah Z209
Looking at a 97 Mariah Z209, any thing I should watch out for in this style and year?
Also what would be the dry weight (approx) for this boat, has a 350 engine? And how large for a fuel tank? |
Re: 97 Mariah Z209
hi Winther. The Z209 Talari with the 350 it weighs just under 3000lbs. That boat has a 40 US gal / 182 liter fuel tank. The brochure says 55-60 mph with the 350 but more likely it will be in the 53-55mph range.
Overall they are a well built boat but with the usual things to watch for. Make sure all of the electricals work, particularly the trim drive & trim gauge as well as the power hatch, a good service history will tell you how well the boat was maintained. If things like the dash or radio console are cracked they can be difficult to put right. Make sure all of the interior trim parts are there as they are hard to find and above all an "on the water" test is almost mandatory. |
