Default Z241 Wannabe Intro

Howdy! I currently own a 1990 Thunder Craft 1750LS and have my sights on a 1994 Z241 Davanti under wraps at a local dealer. I think this boat was/is owned by a one-post member. The asking is around $14K which seems high for the current market. Any opinions appreciated, but I'll post further background in the general section once my pupils shrink from their current hockey puck dimensions (eye exam, not the fun stuff!)

Glad I found you folks, looking forward to learning!

That Z241 Davanti is a popular model here on our site and for good reason as they are a well put together & laid out boat. Check out our Gallery for numerous pics of Members boats.

Does anyone know roughly what the draft is on this boat? My boathouse is not real deep . . .

Draft is 31" drive down & 14" drive up. And while i'm at it the boat has a 76gal fuel tank & weighs approx 3750lbs dry.

Great info Mikey - thanks! And while we're at it . . . that 14-inch calculation, I wonder whether that is with the drive right up as in the trailering position?

I'm guessing that if the drive is above the bottom of the hull of the boat, it really doesn't matter how much further up it is because i believe the draft is measured from the hull bottom to the waterline.....

I just have had the sense that when the drive is "tilt" fully up it might still hang below the hull. But I have never gone down there to look . . .

Yeah, when it is tilted all the way up the skeg is still going to be the deepest thing. When trailered drives are typically at least even with the bottom of the hull.
