Bilge Pump Problems
Just becam a member and need some assistance on a bilge pump problem. I have a 2007 sx18 and the automatic bilge is not working at all but the bilge blower will run when turned on manually. Here is the strange part. The bilge blower does not remove any water even when I know there is water near the engine. I dont know the difference between the automatic pump and the bilge blower. Does anyone know how to replace the automatic bilge blower and what part number it might be? Thanks for the help.

Re: Bilge Pump Problems
Hi BigMark Clark
the bilge pump is the pump that sucks the water out of the Bilge and the Blower is to suck out the gas fumes from the engine compartment It should be turned on and run for several minuites before you start the motor and during idle(slow) speed check the float on the bottom of the bilge pump this pump will be under the engine somewhere mounted to the bottom of the boat The float may be stuck. Hope this helps Bill |
Re: Bilge Pump Problems
You mean you haven't been using the bilge blower before starting the boat up??? If you haven't you have seriously been risking your boat and everything in it going 'boom'! :eek_animated:
