Default Diablo WINDSHIELD - Need Help

Just bought a 1993 Diablo with only 167 hours on motor. A tree branch had took out right front window. Anyone know where I could get a replacement or of a company that could reproduce 1 ? Appreciate your help.

Outside of the window, the boat is MINT!!

Thanks,

Greg

Taylor Made is the manufacturer of the windows used on Mariahs. Some people have had good experiences with them, others haven't. Do a search on here for "windshield" or "taylor made" and read up on everyone's experiences. Then give Taylor Made a call and see what they can do!

If Taylor Made can't help, you can always have the glass replaced by a glass company, provided the frame isn't bent or damaged. Just a warning though, it won't be cheap!

Let us know what you decide to do!

No chance with Taylor Made as they only have a few molds back as far as 1997 remaining. This topic has been discussed many, many, many times here. Your only real options are finding a used one from a boat being parted out, having a custom one made from a specialty glass shop ($$$) or having a section made out of acrylic by a plastics shop.

I see Ebay had a winshield that would fit. Would have to replace the whole thing though. I guess if I got plastic, I could put a tint on the window so it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. No luck with Taylor made. Saw they had a site in australia with a bunch of windshield pieces, but none measured out.

Still waiting ti hear back from a couple sites. Thanks for all your help!!!

I'm in the same boat as you (no pun intended). The previous owner of my 2001 Diablo 180 pulled it out of the garage long enough for a free limb to fall on it. It busted out the drivers side front windshield ( no damage at all to the frame). I tried to contract Taylor Made.. thru email and phone. I made it absolutely no where. I watched some complete windshield assembly go through ebay... but they were $$$. My boat has a piece of lexan in it to replace the glass.. and without really looking hard you'l never notice it was there. I would still like to replace it with glass one day (assuming one pops up). If not I may eventually swap all the glass over to acrylic. I just haven't found anyone locally that can do the work.

    Good luck!

    Nick
