POTENTIAL new Mariah owner
Hey guys and gals! Seriously considering a 1996 Shabah 190 and thought I'd register here so I could learn more about them and possibly ask a question or two. Looking forward to joining the club!

Well, glad ya joined. Obviously you've already discovered that original Mariahs are really high quality boats. In a '96 Mariah you are literally going to find a ride and build quality that's on par with something like a modern Cobalt. Feel free to ask questions. Everyone here is glad to talk about boats and especially original Mariahs. Good luck with your decision and welcome to the forums!

Re: POTENTIAL new Mariah owner
Thanks for the welcome guys! The boat I'm interested in is a '96 Shabah 190 with trailer. It is supposed to be in immaculate condition both cosmetically and mechanically (bit of a drive so I haven't seen it yet). Does $7,500 seem like a reasonable price?

Re: POTENTIAL new Mariah owner
If the boat is in the condition the seller claims it to be then $7500 isn't out of line for this time of year. A water test would be in order to confirm how it runs and check that all of the electrics & gauges (particularly the outdrive trim switch & gauge) work correctly. You may have a little room for negotiation on the price.
