I would like to ask a question about my boat. I would like to add a through hull with the captains choice switch and not sure if this can be done.
I have a 1995 Mariah Davanti 225z, Hoping someone can lead me in the right direction. This is my first boat I have ever owned but I grew up on the river and have many years experience with my fathers boats. I like the attention the sound make but i also like to be quiet when needed.
I have never been a member to one of these sites so this is my first time searching for answers.

Can I install this through hull myself or is it in my best interest to have it professionally installed?

Thank you,

Robert (aka vito)

It is something that can be added but the parts alone are around $2,000, usually. Most members here that have looked into it have ultimately opted to keep their money for fuel. We do have a member that found parts for closer to $800 a while back and he did the upgrade. Maybe he'll chime in.
This is a pretty sought after feature so there are a few threads on the topic. Here is the most recent:
Thru Hull or captians choice exhaust

Thank you for the welcome and I do appreciate the honesty as well. I believe you are right about putting into the gas tank instead. Sounds like that would be the right way to look at it... Looking foward to this site.
