Help
I need help...I just bought a 1990 Mariah 2150xlc. I took it out 3 times now and the bilge in filling with water...alot!! Gallons are coming out when I turn on the pump. I took it to a marine mechanic...he said the all the hoses etc...are fine. He can't find where the water is coming from. However...there is a fresh water shower unit in the back of the boat. Where is the water intake for this? I found a hole in the upper port side....is that it? I'm a NEW boat owner....don't know anything about them!!! HELP

Re: Help
Hi ski33aurora and welcome to the club!
If the hole you're referring to is above the water like, most likely it's a water drain or if it's at the very back above the swim platform then it's probably the vent for the fuel tank I suggest you or your mechanic follow the shower hose back to where it gets it's water (something I would have thought the mechanic would have done anyway). Another thing, is your speedometer working OK? (I know it sounds funny, but a broken speedo tube will allow water in as it's under pressure when you're moving) WetWilly |
Re: Help
Thank you so much for that information....they have never even suggested the speedometer...interesting.....but thank you again...I appreciate your help.

Re: Help
I had a cracked exhaust bellows. You may the mechanic check all of the bellows as well.
