boat stallls from stop

I have a 1995 mariah Talari with a mercruiser 350 4 bbl. Last year when i put in away it ran great. This spring it runs terrible.
When acclearting from a stop, it stalls, sputters, then slowly takes off. I have run the tank down to 1/4, then filled with fresh gas. I have used starbrite product and also sea foam, but no help. Boat accelarates fine from 3000 rpm to 4000 rpm.
Any suggestions? Could it be water in the gas? I also replaced my water seperator.

Does this only happen when you accelerate normally or very quickly? If you advance the throttle real slowly, does she do more-or-less okay? Does she do okay once she gets over the hesitation and settles-down to the speed for which the throttle is set? If so: My guess would be the accelerator pump in the carburetor.

When you accelerate a carbureted engine, the air gets moving faster more quickly than the gasoline flow does. This would result in fuel starvation, perhaps enough to stall the engine, were it not for a little pump in the carburetor, called an "accelerator pump," that squirts a bit of extra gasoline into the carburetor's throat(s) as the accelerator is advanced.

They eventually wear out and must be rebuilt.

Might be time for a carburetor rebuild. Something best left to somebody that knows their way around engines.

I have a 95 mariah talari 3.0 mercrusier had the same problem boat would run good at a low speed/rpm when i open full throttle the boat would run good and cut out. I had the carb. overhauled and the same problem had to repalce the fuel pump would not pump enough gas on the high (RPM) end
Hope this helps, let me know if it fixes the problem.
