My wife and I just bought a 1997 Jubilee 214 w5.7 merc. ss prop. I am not sure of the HP. We will pick it up on Friday. The plan is to go over everything and launch it this weekend if all cks out. This is our first boat and the kids (3) are excited to go out this weekend.

Any advice or info about issues w/this model would be appreciated.

Also any Mariah owners from the area if wanted contact me for outings.

There isn't anything specific to look for with a Jubilee. They were excellent boats and the 5.7L should give her lots of power. Just go over the service records (if provided) to ensure she was properly winterized and check to see when the impeller was last changed in the outdrive. If the impeller has been there 3 seasons then it would be a good idea to change it. Also, check all of the controls to ensure they work properly, particularly the trim gauge as it can be pricey to replace the sensor unit since the outdrive has to be removed.

Not sure when the impeller was replaced last, I will ask when I pick her up. I know the boat was out last wkend and the owner said everything worked fine. It was also service for the new season from what I was told.
