Hi jaybob and welcome to the forum!

I'm a running a little off today so I hope you don't mind, but are you referring to the trim RAMs that make the outdrive go up and down or are you talking about adjustable plates located on the back transom?

If I've missed it completely (I've been know to do this quite often :(), would you mind describing what the "leveler" is and where is it located.

Thanks a million,
WetWilly

Welcome to the board jaybob!! Your "levelers" were made by either of these two companies:

Insta-Trim Boat Leveling Company.
Insta Trim Boat Leveler Co.

or

Bennett Trim Tabs
Bennett Marine: The world leader in trim tab innovation, quality and service

This should help steer you in the right direction. :wink_thumbup:

Ok, It's the outdrive rams, can you tell us exactly where the oil is leaking from? (i.e. where the oil lines exit the transom, where the oil lines connect to the rams, where the shaft meets the ram body, from the ram body itself, etc...)

Just for starters:

If the leak is at either end of the external feed lines, check for loose fittings or cracked lines.

If the oil is coming out where the shaft enters the Ram body then it might be possible to replace the end seal but without a close examination of the ram itself, it is impossible to tell. If this is the case, I would advise you to take it to a certified Mercruiser Service Shop for a through exam and be prepared to replace the ram if necessary.

Good luck and let us know what you find out :wink_thumbup:
