I have just purchased a set of new Mariah Side Emblems and need a few tips on installing them and removing the old ones,the gold plastic came off fairly easy but there is a chrome film that is still ther and I'm not sure how to go about taking it off.These are the Original emblems that are 14 inches long on the side of my 2000 202 Shabah that I purchased from somebody here who gave me a great deal.

You could try using a heat gun or even a hair dryer to heat it up slowly and then it should come off, but if not there are chemical removers such as this on from ShabahZ250:

In the vinyl world they make specialized removal chemicals that are meant specifically for removing vinyl without damaging the material it's applied upon, especially fiberglass. I've got a small bottle that I've used for quite a few projects that works great. It's called "Vinyl Off", i know, how original!
