Another first timer

Hello fellow Mariah owners.
I have just purchased a 1997 Z222 from Cumberland lake in Kentuky.
It has not yet arrived and I can hardly wait to see her. This is not a very popular west coast boat, so I had to do most of my searching on the east coast and central US. Once I surf the site a little more and figure out how to post pictures, I'll share. I have been looking for 14 months and have read so many great things about the pre 2001 models that I was sold on a Mariah.:D She comes on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the club 97 Z222! I went ahead and started your own thread so that you get more responses. I hope that's alright, seemed kinda buried at the end of the thread it was in.

Look forward to seeing pictures of your new Mariah! Checkout the Forum Feature of the Month for more details on uploading pictures here!

Good choice. Hope you enjoy your boat as much as I enjoy my 99 Z222.

Short season?

I had my boat out on the water when the water in the bay was 3°C. (<40F). The ice was gone though.... ;)

In fact, they can! I did my sea trial in January of 2006 on the Chesapeake Bay with 33 degree temps and skim ice on the water. It was pretty crazy hearing it all break on the bow as I was idling out into the channel.

Damm right they can! And when the 4x4's wont pull them thru the 8ft of snow we get, we hook 'em up to polar bears and drag 'em to our lakes! Rumour has it that the Canadian Coast Guard is considering using Mariahs to open up our North West Passage thru the Artic ;)
