Hi antwon, not sure what you're asking... Could you be a little more specific?

    Thanks,
    WetWilly

Sorry bout that... i recently acquired a 98 z202 with a 5.0L alpha mercruiser with 38 hrs on it. It sat in the sun without a cover for 3 yrs so obviously the dude didn't take care of her. There i no owners manual and i desperately need the schematics for the electrical. She has a few problems like the rear transom light keeps going up and down and the fuel pump and choke are not receiving voltage. I checked the coil and it only reads 9.6v. the purple and yellow wire that feeds these is dead but there is an untapped spare that comes out of the harness which reads 5.9v and when i used that for power to the fuel pump the voltage jumps to 24v!!! flippin weird. The stereo was pulled out due to vandalism so the wiring harness is not to specs. I did have it buffed and had all the seats re-done and she is gorgeous. I want to return her back to her glory but Mariah is no more. Can anyone in this club help me? I would be forever grateful, thank you, Antwon

    Hi antwon,

Ah, now I understand.... Yes; it's true the original Mariah Company is gone, but with this club, you have the next best thing!

Your Mercruiser 5.0 and outdrive have their own service manuals with parts and wiring schematics. BTW, I believe the 5.0L is a ford motor, that being the case, 9.6v at the coil is normal, fords use a resistance wire the same way Chevy cars used a resistor for reducing coil voltage. As for some of your other electrical woes, it definitely sounds like a short here and there. As you know. electrical problems can take a little time sorting out, but we have a great group of people here with a lot of experience, so be patient and together, we should be able to resolve your problems!

Now the first place to start in resolving many of your Mariah issues is to become a contributing member. This give you access to service manuals, brochures, wiring diagrams, and all sorts of information relevant to Mariahs, the stern drives and equipment so click here to see what's offered.

If you have any pictures of your Mariah, upload them to our gallery if you like. For a tutorial on uploading to our gallery, Click here.

We also have a Member Map, so take some time to stick your pin on it. Here's a tutorial on adding your pin: Click here

Good luck and in the mean time, I'll see if I can figure out the motor issue,
    WetWilly
