Default soon to be Berchetta owner

Hello there:

I am TOTALLY new to boating, except a couple of rides here and there by friends.

I have an apportunity to buy a 1997 Berchatta 192. The owner is friend of a relative and she bought a newer boat and wants to sell her boat.

The outside looks in a very good condition, she said it has low hours (which I trust) - and no problems that she knows - of course the boat is used a couple of times a year in a fresh water lake.

Being a new boat shopper, and having no clue about boats, it scares me to find out that the Mariah boat manufacturers are out of business - should I be worried???

She is asking for $5,000 (is this a fair price??) -

need help.

Thank you very much, Vicky

Welcome to the board Vicky. That sounds like a decent deal, especially being a 97 with low hours.

You have nothing to worry about with Mariah being out of business. We've got all the resources and answers you'll need here on the site. We've got parts lists, diagrams, brochures, service manuals, just about anything you'll ever need. And if there's anything in particular you want to know, by all means just ask. We're all here to help, and we've got the friendliest bunch of members anywhere.

Thank you. I appreciate your prompt and comforting request.

Hopefully I will be a Mariah owner too soon.

    Take care, Vicky
