What is the difference between a Barchetta and the Shabah? I was looking through the promotional material provided and in the booklet they look the same and i couldnt find what makes them different... at least i couldnt find anything they look the same and appear to have the same features. At least in the 93 MX models from what i was looking at.

Hi Irace82,

Looking at the 93 brochure, I see what you mean. The only difference I have noticed is on the rear swim platform area, the Barchetta's platform is flat all the way across like the MX19 and Talari where as all the Shabahs appear to have a raised center hump on the rear swim platform where the the tow line hook is mounted.

The Barchetta was 18'10" LOA, the Shabah was 19'10".

I think this was a year of "identity crises" with the MX line phasing out, and Shabah line being introduced.

You can't 'see' the difference with the Shabah cuz its the 'ghost' boat.....

Yeah okay thanks alot guys. Yeah i was just looking and apart from those 2 or 3 things there is not a whole lot of difference at all. Just looking at the pictures i thought they were the same boat. Oh and Mikeyt that was a good one lol.

I think there is also a slight difference (1°) in deadrise at the transom. The Shabah has the steeper of the two.
