Thanks for the Welcome

Hi everyone, my name is Harvey. I joined the Mariah club in June but this is my first post. My 1997 Mariah Shabah Z210 Limited is my second boat that I purchased as a dealer demo with 16 hours on it back in the winter of 2000. I think I probably saw my boat new at the Calgary boat show in February of 1997 as that is when the dealer took on the Mariah line and had several of them at the boat show. At that time I considered them far to expensive for me. It wasn't until the summer of
1999 when I meet a fellow from the Calgary area at the lake where I have most of my boating for the last 20 years at Lake Pend Oreille. He had the sister boat to mine except black instead of red. He had removed the 7.4L and replaced it with a reworked 502. I was able to go for a ride in his Mariah and was quite impressed with the boat although it was rather over powered. We have enjoyed the boat since we purchased it. There have been some issues with the boat such as water entering the hull when moored. I was able to trace most of the leakage to entering through the bolt holes for the ladder.
This winter I am going to install muflers in the captins call exhaust so that I can use the system once in a while. Has anyone else ever done this and if so could you tell me what issues you came across.

welcome Harvey, I've considered the silent choice as well but still have to convince the first mate. She doesn't understand the need for us to hear the full sound of a big block. Maybe some day!! Let us know the progress of the install
