Immaculate 182 Shabah

I just bought my 1st boat. It is an immaculate extremely clean 2000 182 Shabah with A 4.3 It really looks and feels like a very new boat. Every surface is extremely clean in and out. Now, I see that Mariah boats are no longer manubfactured. This concerns me! I hope it does not become much of a problem...

Actually, Mariah boats are still manufactured. It's just that they aren't the same boat that they were prior to the closing of the original factory back in 2001. Sea Fox is the new owner and they do not support the original Mariah boats.

That said, the engine & outdrive is standard Mercruiser or Volvo so parts are readily available. Upholstery can be recovered, most of the electrics are available from third party vendors and there are over 1000 members in this club that can help you source out any other part that you may need. Trim pieces and glass are the most difficult items to find. Even if you had bought a Bayliner (heaven forbid...) or a Cobalt, you would have difficulty finding some parts for an 8 yr old boat. But neither of those brands have a strong & loyal club membership as Mariah does and were all here to help each other thru whatever problems we encounter.

btw....congratulations on your new Mariah! :wink_thumbup:

Thanks

I appreciate the positive reinforcement. We love the boat. Mariah seems to have alittle extra class as compared to ma:)ny other brands we looked at....
