27' 1994 Barcheta
Hello, I just purchased my first Mariah and am wanting to know where to find owners manuals, and the like. the boat is in great shape but I am curious to some of the finer details like fuel capacity, and stuff like that. So tell me, I have always heard how solid these boats are but would like to hear it first hand..

Sorry if I'm incorrect, but I could not find a 27' Barchetta for 94, however, there is a 95 272 Barchetta. Is it possible that if it is a 94, you have the 270 Talari (open bow) or the 275 Davanti (cuddy cabin)? Check your hull's serial number on the starboard side of the stern, the last two numbers should represent the year. 27' Barchetta
I will get some picks on it asap, It is a 27" Barchetta and it is a 94. I checked the VIN and it all checks out. Does anyone know how big the gas tank is? The owners manual for 1994 that I downloaded didn't say. I put 40 gallons in it yesterday and the gauge read half so i'm guessing the tank is around 80 gallons.

The fuel tanks in the '94 27' boats were 110 gallons. You sure it's a Barchetta? Wonder if they just forgot to include it in the 94 Brochure?

?? Now i am wondering
Well, it says Barchetta on the side of the boat but now you have me wondering. I looked it up on the Brochure and it is identical to the Talari so maybe that is the boat... What is the difference? I read the fuel capacity and about passed out right here at the computer. A smart man would have checked that before jumping in. That’s a lot of freaking gas. At least I have a trailer so I won’t be forced to pay water prices! :punch_out:

Now let see if we can identify your Mariah... (1) Is your sundeck a one piece unit opening from the rear or does it split in the middle and open from the sides? (2) Do you have a porta-potty compartment just behind the bow seating on the port side with a small porthole window on the hull? (3) Is your rear seat a straight bench or does it wrap around the sides like a couch on the ends? If Jimmy built the new models starting in the later part of the preceding year like they do with automobiles, it’s possible that you have one of the first Barchetta's off of the assembly line! Yup, your tank is 110 gallons like ShabahZ250 said, but the good thing is, you don't have to completely fill it up and use it all every time you take her out. Like you, I too almost passed out when I found out we had a 70 gal tank but I normally fill it between 1/2 to 3/4 depending on how long we're at the lake and I haven't run dry yet. Lowest we got was just below 1/4 after two days of non-stop tubing, skiing, exploring and even racing a few boats out in the middle of the lake (we won)! :rolleyes: WetWilly |
27" barchetta
Ok, the sundeck is a two piece unit that opens from the middle like a T-Top, there are actually two places where a porta-potty would go. There is a room in front of the driver's console, which has a little window and the Velcro straps to hold what i assume was a porta-potty and another little room on passenger side. the passenger side one is finished in plastic and has a sink in it. It also has a little window. Both are big enough so I don't know which one is designed for the Porta-potty. The rear seat is a wrap around seat. I will take some pics when I get it all back together. I have all the cushions up drying out from being left in the rain at the dealership and it’s a mess right now. I'm working today but will get some pics downloaded tomorrow.

Well from what your describing, it's definitely a Barchetta! Guess you've go one of the first ones built, Congrats! The potty goes on the passenger side with the sink... the driver's side is for storage or possibly a little hide away for the little ones when they're tired and need a rest or just getting out of the sun. Can't wait to see your pictures, and when you have some time, take a look at the 95 brochure for the scoop on your Barchetta and how solid Mariah's were constructed. WetWilly |
