Default new members recent theft

Hello Everyone !
We just found your web site by accident while looking for replacement parts for our '99 Jubilee. Had a recent theft and our insurance (AAA) wants us to pull the boat to several dealers for quotes to replace the radio/cd player and windshield. I was hoping to find the information they want on the internet. Does anyone have a '99 deck boat with the original radio/cd player ? We would really appreciate knowing more about it or even a photo would be great. We bought the boat a year ago and never paid much attention to the unit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sharon and George Schultz, Lake Arrowhead, CA

Sorry about your loss, but welcome to the club!! The radio is probably obsolete, but I would think they'd replace it with any new model of decent quality. The windshield might be a nightmare. On most Mariah's, Taylor Made had a special design specifically for them. They haven't used those molds for 7 years, and tell most people to run one of them will cost more than the boat is worth. There is a place called http://www.marineglassspecialties.com that supposedly can recreate Taylor Made's designs for a decent price.

Some of the deck boats had separate "pods" with a curved plexiglass windscreen, some had full windshields just like a runabout... what is your's?

Our windshield is a curved plexiglass type and sits on the right console. I'll try your suggested retailer. Thanks

    Hello sdschultz1,

Welcome to the club and sorry to here of your loss.

Have you tried your local Yellow Pages for a plastic's fabricator?

We have a chain out here in California called TAP Plastics, with a picture/drawing and measurements or if they had access to the boat, could replicate the windshield quite easily

If you have a left windshield, you could use it to make a template for the right side by tracing the windshield with construction paper and bending the template the opposite way as I believe they're the same size....

    Good luck,
    WetWilly
