Default Hello

Hello,

I am trying to locate some bellows that I have been told are impossible to find.

My grandma owns a 1991 18ft inboard Mariah and needs to replace the bellows. I am being told because of the year this will be impossible as this year/model was only made for 4 years.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find parts for this boat?

Thank you in advance,

kelly

Kelly, Bellows are not specific to a Mariah model. You need to know what kind of motor is in the boat. It will likely be a Mercruiser, Volvo, or yahama inboard motor, odds are Mercruiser. If Mercruiser you will need to figure out what outdrive is on the boat. It would be an alpha one or a bravo, both of which will have readily available parts. If it’s a Yamaha it might be tough, but nothing is impossible! Good luck!

    Hi Kelly,

What Dan said, the bellows are pretty common. We could help a bit more if you can post a picture of the outdrive to narrow it down. Changing out bellows is not super difficult, but it is not really easy either. If you or someone else have not worked on outdrives before, you may want to check with a few local marine repair shops for an estimate. Paying a shop may be worth it.
