Default New Owner Issues

Hi Everyone,
I just bought a 2006 sx19 from a dealer as my first boat. I took it out a couple of times with no issues. The third time it wouldn’t go over 5 mph. I was told I had a spun prop. I replaced it with the exact OEM prop that was on it. When I went to take it out again. It wouldn’t start. I get a beep when I turn the key on but nothing happens when I turn it all the way to start it. The battery is fully charged. I made sure it was in neutral. I jiggled the key and tried moving the throttle. Nothing happened. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the kill switch with lanyard on your model? Those can fail or move just enough to kill the ignition.

I tried bypassing the switch. Still nothing.

When you say it won't start do you mean it won't crank or it cranks but does not fire?

Most common issues are the neutral safety switch in the throttle and the save solenoid.

Start signal from key switch runs through neutral safety switch, then thru large connector on engine to slave solenoid which feeds the solenoid on the starter. If you have a voltmeter or test light, trace the start signal.

Ignition switch is good. The kill switch is good. Neutral safety switch is good. Starter is good. I checked all the fuses and none were blown. Cleaned all connections on the battery. Checked the wiring harness connections, also. They look fine. The only thing not done is the slave relay. I can't find it. I tried to Can anyone tell me exactly where it is? I tried tracing the yellow/red wire but it went into a harness.

It is usually located on the top of the motor, near the back. Usually close to the large plug. Pretty small, less than 2 inch diameter solenoid.

Turns out it is a bad starter. The solenoid was frozen.
    Thanks everyone for your help.
