Hi I have Talari with a 7.4 MPI I live on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia, the starter has stopped working I had an electrician confirm that it is the starter not the solenoid the local Mercruiser service agent has told me the engine has to come out to replace the starter, there are a lot of big block Mercruiser's in boats here but very few Mariah's there seems to be limited knowledge of Mariahs,I was wondering if this can also be done by only removing the starboard exhaust manifold looks like it might be a possibility to me has anybody done it this way.
