Default Question or 2

New here and not a mariah owner quite yet. Here's my question. I put my harley up for sale and have a guy that wants to trade me a boat. It is a 1995 z200 talari. He hasn't gotten back to me on hours yet but he said it has the 5.0 in it. I'll attach some pics he sent if I can figure out how to do it. Anyway the interior has cracks in the captain seats and the sundeck is cracked. Cant really see the rear bench in the pictures. How much does it cost to have interior redone? The boat is currently sitting outside uncovered in the snow as we live in Iowa. Believe me I will not make any trades until spring when I can see and make sure it runs good. I do think the value of the bike and boat are pretty even but it sure needs to run good.
Thanks for reading my long ramble.
Mike

Your chances of finding replacement seats are slim so you may have to reupholster everything. Probably set you back about $2k or more depending on how fussy you are about originality. They leave the boat sitting outside & uncovered in the winter? I couldn't walk away from that boat fast enough.

Are the hours on the boat really a concern of yours? That boat sits uncovered in the elements. The boat could have 20 hours on it and it probably wouldnt be worth trading a running Harley for. $2000 is a good guess on that upholstery IF you dont need new substrate and new foam. Not to mention a soggy floor and who knows what else. Was it properly winterized? Judging on the interiors contents it doesnt look like anyone cares.

I dont know what bike you have up for a trade but you are probably doing this person a huge favor trading them. If you are serious about this trade I would recommend having the boat inspected by someone who knows boats like a boat surveyor, marine mechanic or a local boat shop. It could save you a lot of money in the long run...

Thanks guys! The more I think about it the more i dont think I'll be doing the trade. My bike and an extra 2g doesn't sound to good to me.
