Default New Member Boat Trailer question

I am buying a 98 Mariah Jubilee 24' from a friend but he has had it in a slip and does not have a trailer for it. Everybody says "it's easy to find a use boat trailer" but I'm finding that not to be the case because of the variables. Is it necessary to find a trailer made exactly for this boat shape or one that is relatively close be OK?

Welcome billyfitz! You're correct, finding an original Chariot trailer for the Jubilee 244 will be close to impossible. Most bunk trailers are adjustable with u-bolts and brackets that can be moved around on the trailer frame, so it could be modified to fit the Jubilee hull. Most marinas/marine service shops should be able to assist with getting it properly set up. You definitely would want to have any adjustable trailer fit properly so it doesn't cause any damage to the hull chines or gelcoat while underway.

    Hope this helps!

    BillyFitz,

Don't know where you are located, but I found a 99 Jubilee for sale with trailer for $2500 (bad motor) in North Carolina. You can have a parts boat and a nice trailer. Check it out.

As long as it’s the right length and width should be okay.
