Default Got me hooked!

Good afternoon all!

I have recently purchased a 1994 Mariah Shabah Z212 equipped with a 350 mag and alpha 1 gen 2 outdrive. I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase. The boat was lacking in TLC when I bought it. To me this just gives me the opportunity to build our relationship (the boat and me). Hull, floors, and drive are in great shape, however the vinyl and gel coat were not taken care of. The tops of all the bolsters are cracked and the front bow cushions are torn. I am currently working on polishing and waxing the boat as well as adding a Bimini top.

Motor has 270 hours. When I bought it, it would run perfectly when not in gear but wouldn’t get up on plane. I did a full once over and found the ignition coil to be bad. I replaced it and we are in business! Runs like a scalded dog. The previous owner put a laser 2 13 1/4x21p prop. I am replacing it with a 14 1/2x21p. It doesn’t bite well in turns and can’t trim up without it blowing out. ( confirmed with a local mechanic). I would add a picture but I don’t know how from my phone. I would also like to show my progress with bringing this bad mamajama back to aesthetic life! That being said, it is completely water ready. Only issues are cosmetic which are minimal to me.

Can’t wait to get to know you guys!

Thanks for the advice. I ordered it today and is supposed to be here tomorrow. I’m going to put it on and give it a whirl. I was more just giving a run down as to where I stand with my new found love. HA
