I have a 1997 Z202 Shabah w/ 350 Mag and Alpha One outdrive. The forward reverse linkage seems to be going out of adjustment. I have adjusted at the engine side but I believe the problem is at the helm forward reverse throttle lever with engagement in reverse being the main problem. How can I access behind the lever to check for aadjustment there. Thanks for any help. Awesome boat!

I'm not sure without seeing pictures, but mine has a panel that holds the throttle to the wall. It comes off by unscrewing the decorative buttons (they hide the actual screws holding the panel). Then you can unscrew them and remove the panel.

Hi jtlyons302
Great looking Z202 Shabah you got there! Is that a Pyle amp your running? How do you like the amp? I was wondering what that metal rail assembly on the back of your trailer, under the port side was for? Thanks, WetWilly |
Excellent and Superb
Yes it is a Pyle amp and it works great for the boat. It's a marine model with input output adjustments and also frequency cutoff levels and a LED power output meter that changes from green to red so you know how to set the power thresh-hold as to not overheat the unit due to distortion. That is a 2" receiver for pulling a wave runner off the back of the trailer. Thanks for the positive comments. Everyone at the lake can't believe the boat we have for the money spent, let alone the power driver seat!

Thanks for the follow up jtlyons302, I'll have to look into these amps!!

Great story, a few days ago I took my boat to the local Sea Ray dealer for service (used them for years, and one of the only trustworthy Mercruiser certified service facilities around)....
Long story short, the Mechanic calls me up on my cell phone and asks "What's this code box thing on the dash, do i need a code number to start this boat? Man, I've never seen half of this stuff before, they don't put that kind of stuff on Sea Rays" My old Sea Ray salesman told me one of Mariah's advertising campaigns back in the day was "The Boat Sea Ray Owners are Upgrading to".... Then he told me how lucky I was to find a Mariah. |
