Alarm issue

I have a 2007 Matiah SC23. Once moving at speeds beyond tick over an alarm comes but all the functions of the boat are fine and all levels for fluids are correct. Any ideas?

Re: Alarm issue

My guess is one of the three warning alarm sensors has failed. I had this happen on my 2000 Z250, and it was the gear oil level sensor. Of course, you can't replace just the sensor itself, you have to replace the reservoir as well, since it's a 1 piece replacement. It's about $50 in parts, and can be ordered through any Mercruiser parts retailer.

Of course, your results may be different, so it could either be the oil pressure sensor, or the engine temperature sensor also.

Replace the alarm if that doesn't fix it
bring it to your local mechanic

Re: Alarm issue

I've had an intermittent alarm on my 2007 FS20 4.3 mercruiser. Disconnected the gear oil sensor . Problem peristed. Engineer disconnect oil pressure sensor for me as I could not find it and alarm has not reappeared. Oil pressure is showing as fine. So problem found. Just need new sensor now. So a bit of trial and error should find the culprit.
