Hey all,

I bought a 95 202 Shabah a week ago. Ive had it out 2 times so far and all is well. Except the running and dash lights quit working.

Welcome to the club! Nice looking boat, the lights should be an easy fix.

Thank you. I did fix them. Now I just need to get back on the water.

Welcome to the club! Thought I saw you boat on fb? Were you going to take off the stripping?

Yes I am on FB and I do not like the graphics on my boat. However, I am going to leave them for now.

I am looking to purchase a boat like this but am concerned about finding boat parts. Have you had issues with this? I am OK with the 5.7 merc motor since I can get that serviced, but more concerned about the boat. Any advice?

Ive only had mine a couple weeks. Sure some things may be hard to find but I don't sweat stuff like that. Nothing broke yet.

I own a '99 202 and really haven't had any issues. I've had mine about two years. A friend of mine sold it to me and said that most parts that Mariah used were Off The Shelf and available. Cup holders, gauges, stereo, lights, and a bunch of other stuff can be found in their generic form at a lot of marine stores. I have been looking to replace the two air vent grills at the stern and found that they are a standard size and can be bought new today on eBay.
There are, however, other parts that are irreplaceable. The collapsible ladder at the stern, for instance. Mariah made those in-house. The dashboard.... Same thing as Mariah did their plastic vacuum forming in their plant. It cut down on excess lead time due to others, but now you can't find one unless you stumble across that rare Mariah being parted out.
I've been pretty happy with my 202 and am now looking for a new house with an included boat house on property.
