Default Mariah 182 depth finder

Ok, I have read a few posts about the depth finders, but none are like my issue... It has power, the puck is still glued good under the motor, but just flashes .5 when I turn it on... Any ideas??

Mine does that 50% of the time. Have not had time to chase it down.

I guess the real question after reading more posts about this, what is the correct way to get the puck off the bottom of the boat? Mine is in a hole down below the engine. I feel like prying it out with a screw driver is a horrible idea... If it just needs to be re epoxied, what do I use to get the old off?

Like I said in my post, I used a short crow bar and a small sledge hammer. I gave it a hit at the bottom and it came right out.... Intact... But at that point, I would just replace it.
