New Talari 209SE owner
Hi all,
I wanted to introduce myself as the new owner of a 1997 Talari 209SE. It's got a newly rebuilt 5.7 (had a cracked block) 260 H.P. carb engine and Alpha one gen2 outdrive. Mechanically and structurally seems in pretty good shape but needs a good cleaning and the interior is going to need replacing pretty soon. Luckily I do custom/street rod car interiors as my (retirement) job so a full custom interior will be in the works in the future. It came with the original single axle trailer and that's about it. Oh, also needs a gimbal bearing and bellows. No doubt I will have questions from time to time so bear with me if I ask something that's been asked 300 times before. I try to search an answer before asking but sometimes it eludes me. I am interested in exactly what the SE designation means as compared to the other 21' Mariah designs. Anyway thanks for taking time to read my little intro. |
Re: New Talari 209SE owner
Congrats on your "new" Talari 209SE and welcome to the MOC! :wink_thumbup:
The "SE" designation stands for "Special Edition". The 1997 Brochure states: "Special Edition Models come in solid base colors; Ivory, Frost, or Pearl. You can pick the accent color. You can also get a Limited Edition SE with Buckskin interior. All SE models are value priced with a custom matched Chariot trailer" |
