Run/Off Switch
 

I wasn't sure where to place this, but on my 94 Mariah Barchetta below the shifter box is a red switch that says run and off. Anyone know what this is for?

Try starting your boat with the switch in the OFF position and see what happens..... :)

Ok, i stand corrected regarding the usefulness of the Mariah manuals and you should read one. This is a safety kill switch. You should have a lanyard connected to it and yourself so that if you have an accident where you get thrown out of the boat or maybe knocked unconscious, the kill switch gets pulled into the OFF position and the boat will shut down. Most boaters dont bother with the lanyard connection but it really is a good safety feature.
