Graphics & gelcoat repairs.
Having decided to give the hull a proper polish, I am now toying with the idea of removing my scratched up graphics prior to compounding/polishing. I have some scratches that need sanding and some that actually go right through the burgundy painted band.
I could do with some advice on how to get the old graphics off. I could also do with some advice on sourcing the burgundy coloured gelcoat paint to make good before polishing. Also - is it possible to get the original ivory coloured gelcoat for minor repairs? Can you still get the original graphics? 1996 Mariah Shabah Z202 Cheers Grommett |
Re: Graphics & gelcoat repairs.
Hull repairs etc have been discussed numerous times here. The "HOW TO" section should answer your questions about cleaning/repairing your hull & removing old graphics. And as for the graphics, there is a sticky at the top of the "PARTS & COLLECTIBLES FOR SALE" section that answers that question.

I just spoke to Mike who supplies the original graphics but he informed me that he can no longer supply graphics for my age of boat.:shakehead: I just wondered if anyone had successfully managed to get them reproduced elsewhere? |
