Starting battery or Dual purpose?
So i'm thinking my batteries (2) may be getting close to the end. I have 2 starting batteries in the z242 now. What do you guys (who know) think of the dual purpose vs. a straight starting battery? Academy has the battery below for $59 but there is also a rebate for another $10 off. That seems like a deal to me. I run the stereo (Memphis audio 5 channel amp) some but that's about the extent of my power needs other than it starting every time. Thoughts?

The dual purpose batts are able to draw down further and recover faster than a conventional battery.
I would think that it would work for you fine . Cranking amps seems a bit low to me , but I like all I can get too. Deep cycle batteries seem like they don't have a lot of CCA anyway. The 1 yr warranty scares me.......but at that price I guess you can afford to replace them easily enough. As long as they don't go belly up in the middle of the lake. Overall , I'd say go for it.:wink_thumbup: |
