Yes, you can run your electronics while these chargers are running. On my boat, I plug in the shore power into a regular exterior outlet on my house and then I turn the switch on in the cabin for shore power and then turn the switch on for the battery charger. My battery charger is a trickle charger. That means the system will charge the batteries but then it once they are charged, the system will monitor your batteries and apply very small (or "trickle") amounts of voltage to the batteries to keep them fully charged. You can run all your electronics while this is going on. If you are at anchor, you can run a generator on your swim platform and run your shore power cable to your genny and run your charger that way as well.
