Clarion M455A Error code 6
 

Hi, has anybody had this problem before with the Clarion M455A. The radio works fine it's the CD bit that shows up "Error 6" whenever a CD is entered in to the device.

I have looked it up and according to Clarions FAQ's, the code means the disk is upside down, but I can assure you that is not the case. Mine is showing the code even with the disk the correct way up.

This may sound stupid, but have you tried the cd upside down?

I have indeed tried the CD both ways up and it returns the same code either way

Sounds like a bit of jarring has knocked something loose inside the unit. It's time to buy a new one.... :(

Thanks for that Mikey. Think I will hand it in to my local electrical shop and see what they say about it
