Does anybody have an idea as to what color gelcoat this is? It appears to be Ivory. Called Sea Fox but they don't have records going back further than 2001; Spectrum Color and Minicraft both said to contact Sea Fox b/c they don't have any record, geesh! They have the color in stock; just don't know which color mine is.

Ivory is a tad darker than the Arctic White. I believe Ivory was a special order color, and I've only ever seen a few of them in that color. The majority of their boats were done in Arctic white. I had some gelcoat work done on my boat last summer. It was delayed a bit due to "Mariah took a while to ship us the gelcoat", but the Arctic White that Sea Fox sent was a damn close match. You can't even tell where the work was done!

Where is your repair being done, under or above the waterline?

Steve, thanks for the link; very helpful! I need to print that last page on a color printer and match up what appears to be one of two colors that were available in 99'.

Chris, I do need to get a pic posted; meant to do so a year ago. Fortunately the repair work is just above the front port hole near the guard rail but quite visible just the same. So, Sea Fox provided you with color matched gel coat? Great! I have a feeling that Minicraft will come through once they have the actual color name.

My vote is for Arctic White.
It looks too bright to be Ivory to me.

Pictures can be pretty deceiving. I printed out the color chart, placed it on one of the sides and had my wife take a peek. She quickly indicated the color is Ivory. The white was way too bright so it looks like I have one of those special order Z280's. Regardless, this is what I need for Minicraft to send me the gelcoat needed.

You might want to contact Minicraft and see if they can send you a sample swatch to compare before you buy the gelcoat. From the pic you posted, it does look like arctic white, however digital cameras can be deceiving when it comes to colors. Plus remember, the gelcoat has been exposed to 11 years of sunlight. I'd try and get a swatch from them before ordering...
